I purchased a 'Couture Salon' Sybarite from Cindy Heaton(bellarepaints). Undated photos were shown to me; all looked perfect, as per Cindy Heaton stated. The doll arrived in her original padded box, limbs bubble-wrapped and the box was shipped in another box. When the doll arrived she had three broken fingers. The box showed no sign of damage, both exterior and interior. It was shipped from the US to Canada; it was not opened by Customs for inspection; Canada Customs uses special tape to reseal a package if opened for inspection. No inspection tape was on the box. In correspondence with Cindy Heaton, she had admitted to previous damages to Sybarites that she had sent for resale; "I just crazy glued my Sloanes fingers back on and took $100 off the price when I sold her." She had also admitted, after her sale to me, that "(she)I just have no luck with the Sybs as pretty as I think they are. They call me but I've got two boys, 7 and 5 and a 100lb German Shepherd and 100lb Great Dane. I think they just aren't for me right now. Too many accidents could occur with that combination!"
